CruiseOomph is the cruise-planning site of Oomph Travel LLC. This page says, plainly, what the site collects and what happens to it. If anything here raises a question, email me and I will answer it myself.
When you send a planning request
The "Plan with Eric" form asks for your name, how you would like me to reply (phone, text or email) and only the detail that method needs, plus your date flexibility, cabin preference, cruise-only budget range and any notes. It also records which sailing, shortlist, cruise line or ship you were looking at, so I know where the conversation began.
I use those details for one thing: responding to your request and planning with you. Sending the form is not marketing consent. You will not be added to a newsletter, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
Each request is emailed to Hello@oomphtravel.com and kept as a private record in the site’s administration area, where Eric and Amy Hempel, the two advisors at Oomph Travel, can read it and note who is handling it. If you chose email, you receive a short confirmation with a reference number.
Records are deleted automatically 24 months after they arrive. Ask sooner and I will delete yours straight away.
Saved cruises and shared shortlists
Cruises you save stay in your own browser on this device. No account is created and nothing about your shortlist reaches the site until you deliberately create a sharing link. A sharing link stores only the sailing references, the date it was created and how many times it was opened. It never includes your name, your answers or your contact details.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
The site itself stores your shortlist and comparison choices in your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device. It sets no cookies of its own for visitors.
To understand how the site is used, it runs Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. They record pages viewed, searches made and features used, such as saving or comparing, and may set their own cookies. They do not receive your name, your contact details or anything you type into the planning form. Your browser’s tracking-protection settings can block them without affecting the site.
Cruise data and photos
Sailings, ships, ports and fares come from the cruise lines through a licensed data partner and are refreshed regularly. Fares are shown so you can compare sensibly; they are not quotes, and no cabin is held until we have spoken and you have chosen to book. Photos carry the credit their supplier provides.
Where the site is hosted
The site is hosted by SiteGround. Email is sent through the site’s mail service. Both providers process data on Oomph Travel’s behalf under their own privacy terms.
Your choices
You can ask to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time. Email Hello@oomphtravel.com and mention your reference number if you have one.
